Reducing ingrown hairs, rough, dry skin, and razor bumps 

Use 1-2 times per week or prior to shaving or hair removal. Wet skin and massage bar for 30 seconds directly onto areas prone to ingrown hairs and clogged pores before rinsing. 

Precautions: Discontinue use if irritation develops or persists. Do not use on broken skin. Do not use immediately after shaving. Avoid eye contact or inhalation of the sweat powder product.

FAQ's

The ingrown bar was formulated as a treatment bar for ingrown hairs in sensitive areas such as the underarms and bikini line. To avoid skin irritations in these delicate areas, it was formulated without fragrance so the scent you are smelling is the natural scent of the bar and the active ingredients (tea tree oil). It’s stinky, but it works!

The ingrown bar was formulated to tackle ingrown hairs issues all over the body including:

  • Underarms
  • Bikini line
  • Face/neck
  • Buttocks
  • Arms and legs
  • Naval

Since the bar has both physical exfoliants as well as natural salicylic acid to treat and prevent ingrown hairs, it’s best to use the bar directly on the affected area. Gently massage for 30 seconds then rinse off.

Since this bar is meant to be used on delicate and sensitive areas of the body, it was not formulated with harsh scrubs that are typically found in body exfoliators. These harsh scrubs can cause further damage by compromising the skin barrier causing irritation that leads to infection and hyperpigmentation.

The ingrown bar has two types of gentle yet effective exfoliants:

  1. a physical exfoliant (microexfoliating volcanic sand) which is the gentle scrubbing you will feel
  2. a naturally chemical exfoliant (salicylic acid) which penetrates the pores and unclogs them to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs

The soap can last anywhere from 2-4 months. Remember, it is a natural soap so it should not be left sitting in water.

You can store the ingrown bar on any soap dish, or shower rack. If possible, you should store it outside the shower to keep it away from moisture and allow it to dry between uses.

Wearing sleeveless for the first time in my adult life!

Only now in the sixth decade of my life on this earth that I've finally had the confidence to wear sleeveless tops and dresses! All because I had issues of ingrown hair and dark underarms (the latter due in part to my Asian DNA), which made me very self-conscious about baring my arms. Naturally I have tried many of the methods dealing with armpit issues, but nothing seemed to be very effective. Until I chanced on reviews of the Takesumi kojic acid brightening bar, which were compelling enough for me to try it out. I was, like many people, a little skeptical at first and thought it was more my imagination and wishful thinking that my armpits seemed a little lighter after only a few days' use. I continued using it on a daily basis (luckily, a little goes a long way.) One day, on impulse, I tried on a sleeveless dress, and was almost shocked to see my armpits not shouting for unwanted attention! The other surprise was to see myself looking pretty good in a sleeveless dress. ;) So thanks to the Takesumi Kojic Acid Brightening Bar (and the Takesumi Bright Niaciminade Deodorant), I've found a new freedom (a little late in life, but not too late)!

Great set to try out the products.
I like that they make note that there are different possible causes for hyperpigmentation and the need to address the root cause to be completely effective.
I’ve seen a noticeable difference after consistent use and in addressing my particular cause of the hyperpigmentation. Highly recommend! A good set to have in your regimen if you have hyperpigmentation concerns. Smells lovely too.
